EGG AND WATER EXPERIMENT
This experiment will make an egg float in a water. It is very interesting to know what will happen if you put the egg in an ordinary drinking water and what will happen if you put the egg in a salt water.
To do this experiment you will be needing the following things:
Egg
Water
Salt
A tall drinking glass or container
Experiment 1 Instructions: EGG TO PLAIN DRINKING WATER
1. Pour the plain drinking water in the glass or container nearly full.
2. Slowly drop the egg in the plain drinking water and see what will happen.
Experiment 2 Instructions: EGG TO SALT WATER
1. Pour the plain drinking water halfway in the glass.
2. Add 6 tablespoon of salt in the water. Stir until mostly of the salt has dissolved.
3. Slowly drop the egg in the salt water and observe for the outcome.
So what's happening?
Salt water is denser than the ordinary drinking water, the denser the liquid it is easier for the object to float. That is why the egg amazingly float in the middle of the glass of salt water.
